We’ve Been Mobbed!

It’s been a little over two months since we upgraded to a larger space in the Four Corners Free Market, in Little Five Points. It hasn’t yet been a year since we actually relocated to Little Five Points, but it sure feels like we’ve been there a pretty long time. Maybe it has to do with the atmosphere of acceptance there or maybe it’s because my new space allows me to feel all snugly and cozy. Not sure which, maybe a combination of both, but the most important aspect is that I feel comfortable there and having my business located there feels comfortable. I keep sensing that I’m in the right place at the right time.

This past weekend, I experienced a bonafide cash mob. Planned and executed by a long-time friend and customer (that’s her pictured on the right), it was a day filled with excitement. I’ve never been mobbed before, let alone cash mobbed, so it was definitely a new experience for me, one I look forward to having again and again and again. Like I should be updating this blog—again and again and again. I know, I know, I’ve been sucking at it, but that’s only because there’s only one of me. I can’t be everywhere at once, although, some who know me would beg to differ.

I believe, I’m finally starting to find my rhythm. I’m also coming to the realization that some things are possible and others aren’t so possible, when it’s just you. As I find my stride, I plan to streamline more, focus more, delegate more. Yeah, the ol’ delegation. It’s time to start looking at taking on help. I can be many things, but in the same token, many things I cannot be. A girl has to know her limitations and all.

Speaking of limitations. I’m overdue for a break. One that gets me the heck out of Georgia. So, come this Friday, I’m out. Yep, gonna take me a whirlwind few days roadtripping to Louisiana and Texas. I’m looking forward to it. That means those who come by the shop on Friday and Saturday this week won’t see me. Nope, I’ll be out. Remember? BUT my lovely oldest son has volunteered to hold down the fort for me.

That being said, if you’re in need of a last-minute gift, stay out of Walgreen’s. Head to Little Five Points and choose something nice off our shelves. Your end receiver will not be upset in the least bit. Neither will we. Friday hours will be 1 p.m. – 8 p.m., and Saturday hours will be 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. The “5 p.m.” is tentative, so you might want to call. I would say that we’ll leave the lights on, like a Motel 6 commercial, but, nope, should my son decide to exit earlier than five, the lights will be turned off. So, what am I trying to say? CALL before you head out on Saturday, if it’s close to 5 p.m. Capiche?

Have a happy and safe holiday. Nandi out. :-)
