What’s that odor?

Image of a foot with sweat dripping off it into a glass that is half-filled with the sweat. A speech bubble pops in and out that reads: I’m a glass half full kinda guy . . . Text at the bottom of the giphy reads: Feet produce 1/2 a pint of sweat a day. The image is on a yellow background. The giphy is courtesy of learnsomethingeveryday.co.uk

This morning as I performed my foot rituals (will talk about another time), I thought about something I needed to share with you. How many of you deal with sweaty feet? Funky shoes? Sweaty feet and funky shoes? Whew, have I been holding back. I can help you with both.

During the pause, as I call this period of uncertainty for many around the globe, I relearned skating. I wanted a low-impact activity I could do in- or outdoors. I like skating so much, I skate for hours at a time. By the time I pull off my skates, the insides are soaked. Of course, I air them out between uses, but over time, odor can develop in our footwear—especially those we often wear.

What we don’t want is for the odor to build up to the point it offends the nostrils of innocent people. That’s why I worked so hard to develop deodorant formulas that prevent odor before it starts.

I happened to be putting on deodorant when it occurred to me to try some on my feet, so I lotioned them (this is important, people!), rolled a bit of deodorant under the bottoms making sure to get right near the back of my toes, with a little between them, and pulled on my socks. Not only did my feet sweat less, my shoes and skates smell fresher.

Did somebody say high-top sneakers, cleats and football? I encourage you to introduce the baller and steel-toe boot wearer in your house to our roll-on deodorant. Tell them to hit the pits and soles. After cleaning them, of course.

The regimen is simple and effective. Apply once a day, and you’re good to go. I keep a try-me-size bottle on the counter specifically for my feet. So if you’re dealing with sweaty, smelly feet, or shoes that make the air in the room, umm, thick, here’s your solution.

I love finding yet another use for a product, don’t you? Buying one product that serves multiple purposes makes good financial sense. What good financial sense decisions are you making during the pause?

If any of you decide to try this, comment below. I’d like to know how it works for you. 💜

Regards,
